Overview:
**MCL are looking for multiple Senior Piping Designers for our Oil and Gas client in Aberdeen.**

**Duration**:If on a contract basis then estimated durations are 6 months with possible extensions thereafter.

However this may also be available as a Staff role.

**Location**: Can be based in Aberdeen or Glasgow with the option to work hybrid minimum 3 days per week in the office. However, remote working could be considered with visits to the office

The role is likely to be outside IR35 but the final decision will be made after a Qdos assessment.

**Responsibilities**:
**As a Senior Piping Designer, your responsibilities would include**:

- Ensure designs meet project requirements
- Input to project plans
- Identify areas of concern during any project or study
- Produce cost
- effective engineering solutions that are fit for purpose, safe and add value
- Address operational and maintenance issues in the design and liaise with colleagues for the best solution
- Undertake surveys, both onshore and offshore

- Have previous experience in detail design and design checking with an understanding of other disciplines.
- Have experience 3D modelling of piping, supports and equipment using AutoCAd Plant 3D.
- Be experienced drafting Isometrics and pipe supports using AutoCAD 2D.
- Experienced in cloud scan data management such as ReCap pro.
- Have significant Brownfield experience
- Drilling Facilities experience would be advantageous
