An exciting opportunity for a fixed-term 12-month secondment to be part of the clinical tutor team at Salford Royal has become available.

Working with the Lead Clinical Tutor you will be providing clinical placements on site at Salford Royal to pharmacy students from the University of Manchester. This is an exciting time to be joining the team as we transition to the new undergraduate degree and you will be able to have input into the changes taking place, shaping the future pharmacy workforce.

You will also be able to maintain your own clinical skills by providing a clinical pharmacy service to required areas.

Salford is a ‘Digital Exemplar’, and pharmacists will be working with electronic patient records as well as building education resources in platforms such as Blackboard so a high level of computer literacy is required.

You must be currently registered with the GPhC as a pharmacist and have previous hospital experience. You must also have completed at least one year of clinical diploma at the point of joining the team.

**You will be working with the lead clinical tutor to**:

- Provide high quality clinical pharmacy placements to undergraduate from Manchester university
- Supervise students during these placements
- Assess students and provide feedback
- Work with the rest of the tutor team to improve future placements

**You will also**:

- If required act as a diploma tutor or designated supervisor
- Work in partnership with the Director of Pharmacy and all other pharmacists to ensure safe, effective, economical and timely pharmaceutical care for all patients receiving a pharmaceutical service from the department
- Act as a role model for less experienced pharmacists
- Participate in the on-call, weekend and late rota as requested
- Complete audits as requested
