The Senior Reinsurance Technician will support the projects team with external projects.

Using your outwards reinsurance technical knowledge to process all aspects of outwards reinsurance as a surge resource; or utilizing that knowledge to assist with the implementation/strengthening/migration of an outwards reinsurance product.

**It’s a busy and varied role, with a broad range of responsibilities, but the fundamentals include**:
Facultative, Quota Share & Excess of Loss Reinsurance
- Accurate Cover note interpretation
- Knowledge of premium terms including calculation of adjustment premium
- Identification of losses and or circumstances which may trigger reinsurance reporting thresholds
- Review of losses and or circumstances against the terms and conditions of the reinsurance contract
- Ensure compliance to any contractual reporting triggers
- Ability to calculate reinsurance recoveries against a complex Reinsurance programme
- Calculation of Profit Commissions
- Knowledge of Reinsurance credit control function
- Assist with the implementation of new Ceded Reinsurance systems through project phases
- Peer review Ceded Reinsurance record entry into source systems
- review of current procedures and recommend enhancements to improve the processes
- Adherence to internal controls, including Risk and SOX controls
- Review and enhancement of current provision of data necessary for both internal and external reporting

**Essential Qualifications/Desirable Experience**
- A good understanding of the full end to end Reinsurance process from Post Placement through to Credit Control and Reporting.
- Strong IT skills with an intermediate/advanced level of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Extensive experience within the London market
- Solid reinsurance technical knowledge & market practices.
- A sound knowledge of at least one outwards reinsurance product

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

**Education**:

- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:
