**The Job**:
To manage the health and safety team in the provision of services within the Bristol, Bath and North Somerset region, ensuring we meet our response times and quality standards at all times and making every client contact a positive experience.To activelysupport the development and growth of the Licensee network, working with the Central team and providing qualified technical knowledge. To be the point of contact for Licensee queries and advice. Through the Bristol team provide holiday cover for the Licenseenetwork.Profitably grow the SME client base by networking and attending client meetings including annual renewals and acting as an ambassador for the business at external networking meeting and events.Due to the nature of the role, you will be requiredto visit client offices and sites mainly across South West area. National travel will also be required for clients further afield and for Licensee meetings.

**Health & Safety Team Management**
- Manage, support and develop the team of health and safety advisors and administrator in line with company policy.
- Plan CPD training for all staff within budget
- With HR support recruit and induct new appointees.

**Provision of Client Services**
- Ensure the provision of a first-rate service for all aspects of health and safety including but not limited to risk assessments, policy writing, fire risk assessments, auditing against legal compliance and best practice, safe systems of work, committeeformation and accident investigations
- Manage the high-risk categories of clients where necessary personally.
- Deliver health and safety and wellbeing training.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the company’s responsibilities under health and safety legislation and update policies and procedures in line with legislative changes

**Central Office Support**
- Monitor suppliers for H&S quality
- Work with the Licensees to encourage them to sell health and safety services to their client base.
- Review H&S technical content for accuracy for the external website, blogs and newsletters and the internal intranet.
- Attend regular networking events and seminars to represent the business
- Liaise with the H&S solicitor on the production of new documents for the network

**Business Development**
- Build and maintain effective and positive lasting relationships with clients, Licensees, business partners and suppliers and responsible for profitably growing the business in the South West

**Finance**
- Working with the Finance Director produce and monitor the annual budget

**Premises**
- Regularly review the health and safety arrangements within the Bristol Office to ensure statutory compliance and a safe and healthy working environment.

**The Person:
**Degree in H&S or NEBOSH Diploma level 6 or higher
- Grad CMIOSH
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or CITB Site Management Safety Training scheme
- NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management Optional
- NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate
- IOSH Occupational health and Wellbeing

**Health & Safety Experience**
- Preferably good experience in senior H&S roles and a logged IOSH CPD record
- Excellent working knowledge of UK Health and Safety Law and relevant EU/International Directives
- Experience in creating risk assessments and method statement in high-risk sectors
- Working knowledge of ISO 18001/45001
- Able to produce Health and Safety Management Systems for various industries /sectors
- Full understanding of minor and major construction work requirements from planning through to completion
- Working knowledge of contractor accreditation schemes such as CHAS, ACDC, Safe contracting etc.
- Experience in developing safe systems of work
- Experience in writing Health and Safety Policies and procedures
- Experience in a variety of sectors/industries
- Experience dealing with enforcement visits from the HSE or other official bodies
- Extensive Experience or knowledge of completing accreditations such as CHAS, ACDC, Safe contractor

**The Hours**: Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm
