We are looking for a **Part-time Receptionist & Facilities Coordinator** based at our Merlin HQ in Poole, Dorset. Working as part of a job share, you will be required to welcome guests and man a busy reception 3 days per week (Monday - Wednesday).
**About the Role...**
Reception is a key area of our office, ensuring all visitors are welcomed, signed in and the building is secure. Your role will involve liaising with a number of internal stakeholders in ensuring high standards are maintained throughout the building and you will provide professional and flexible support to employees. As the face of Merlin Entertainments you will enjoy working in a fast paced, buzzy environment, you could be asked anything and are a key part of the Merlin team
Within the job share it is a requirement that each receptionist covers the others person’s holidays and any sick days. Hours for reception are 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 pm with 1 hour lunch. Key objectives include:
- Ensure visitors are greeted in a welcoming and professional manner.
- Communicate regularly with Facilities Manager / PA with updates of information.
- Handle all basic internal and external enquiries regarding Merlin attractions. All other calls should be directed to the correct individual/department.
- Liaise with Facilities Manager to ensure maintenance issues are addressed in a prompt manner.
- Monitor and replenishment of office consumables i.e. catering, stationery, postal and first aid.
**About You...**
- Excellent telephone manner with proven receptionist experience in a corporate office environment.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
- Experience of Microsoft Teams is preferable although not essential.
- Approachable with the ability to build good business relationships across the departments.
- Confident communicator and presentable personality.
- Resolving issues using own initiative, you must be able to think on your feet and outside of your role, reacting quickly and positively to produce the best possible results under pressure.
- You must be able to demonstrate a flexible and calm approach to work.
