Sports Apprentice

Since 2001 Game On Sports Coaching has provided high quality sports provision to Primary schools in Hertfordshire. We are looking for a professional sports coach to join our team in delivering after-school clubs and holiday courses. We cover 12 different sports but we are looking for specialist in any of the following - Football, Athletics, Dance, Tennis, Netball, Cricket, Basketball or Tag-Rugby.

The Sports Coach Apprentice will be trained to lead sessions independently to ensure children enjoy the activities whilst developing their skills and understanding. They will receive a mentor to work with them as they gain experience of working with primary school children and the demands required for working with mixed ability groups. We pride ourselves on our coaches being approachable and role models to children.

An apprenticeship is a combination of a job and an approved training program which gives individuals the skills and experience required for a specific job role. Apprentices will be studying Level 2 or a Level 4 Community Activator Coach qualification. The course covers a wide variety of modules that focus on both the practical and theoretical aspects of sport.

Added to the normal statutory holidays, our coaches can earn up to 5 additional paid days holiday for the completion of administrative tasks based around their role.

Contract length: 18 months

**Salary**: £9,620.00-£10,000.00 per year
