As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a **Compliance Officer** to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring that all workers meet legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements before they commence assignments.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct **Right to Work checks**, including verifying **passports, e-visas**, and performing **ECS checks** on the UK government site.
- Ensure all **contracts and necessary compliance documents** are signed, verified, and securely stored.
- Review and approve **new starter paperwork** to ensure compliance with client and legal requirements.

**Regulatory Compliance & Documentation**
- Maintain an up-to-date log of **CEST/SDC checks, signed contracts, and other mandatory compliance documents**.
- Ensure the **completion of client compliance packs** and updates to internal compliance documentation.
- Stay updated on **legislative changes** affecting payroll, right-to-work regulations, GDPR, and industry best practices.
- Ensure the business remains fully compliant with **HMRC, employment laws, and other relevant regulatory bodies**.

**Audit & Reporting**
- Conduct **regular internal audits** to ensure all compliance records are complete and up to date.
- Monitor and report on **compliance status**, flagging any risks or missing documentation.

**Process Improvement & Risk Management**
- Identify gaps in compliance processes and implement **best practices** to enhance efficiency.
- Develop and **refine compliance checklists** to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing regulatory adherence.
- Work closely with internal departments (payroll, finance, and operations) to **streamline compliance workflows**.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- **Experience in compliance, payroll administration, HR, or recruitment** is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of **Right to Work checks, CEST/SDC assessments, employment contracts, and payroll compliance**.
- **Detail-oriented** with excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a **fast-paced** environment.
- Strong **problem-solving skills** with the ability to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
- Proficiency in **CRM systems (Zoho, Finity), Microsoft Office, and compliance tracking tools**.
