**Role: Construction Planner**

**Based: Longridge, Preston**

Walter Carefoot & Sons (Construction) Ltd is a successful Construction Company who continually strive to be at the forefront of their Industry in North West England. We are a regional contractor with over 95 years experience of working on projects ranging from £500K to £10M in value. We operate under a number of Framework Agreements carrying out Partnered Projects for the Public and Private Sector, principally focusing on the Education, NHS, Commercial and Leisure Sectors of the Industry. Due to the continued growth of our company we are expanding our team and have a vacancy for a Construction Planner.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide support to the preconstruction team on planning related topics required for bid submission such as compiling Construction Programmes and Methods Statements.
- Analyse tender documents to produce robust, logical and accurate construction programmes.
- Create scaffold schedules to ensure competitive quotations are obtained.
- Attend tender site visits alongside Estimators; communicate with specialist supply chains as required. Assist Estimators to compile Carefoot prelims.
- Update tender programmes to accommodate changes as construction programme.
- Produce: procurement schedule for all trades/major materials, spend profiles, logistics plans, site establishment plans, traffic management plans, phasing plans and risk registers.
- Assist contracts managers with progress reports.
- Attend site and internal management meetings.
- Produce As Built programmes when required based on site data.
- Create construction management plans and environmental management plans if planning conditions dictates.
- Assist with obtaining BREEAM credits when required.

**Skills and Experience Required**:

- Relevant experience in education, commercial and refurbishment projects with values between £500K to £5M.
- Excellent people management skills with the ability to influence and mentor.
- Preferably HND or equivalent qualification.
- Team player with ability to be self sufficient.
- Can do attitude, motivated, up for a challenge, trustworthy and reliable
