**Apprentice Planner**
**The Role**
Due to a period of growth we have a new and exciting role for an **Apprentice Planner** t**o work alongside Senior Planner, assisting in and learning the day-to-day role of Planning within the reporting cycle and providing planning support to the Project team.
On this apprenticeship you will undertake an appropriate qualification**through a local college or university. Whilst undertaking your academic learning you will also be working alongside our experienced teams to learn hands-on, work-based skills.
Our Apprenticeship scheme provides a perfect way to earn a wage while you gain vital work experience and a nationally recognised qualification. You will be fully supported and mentored through your apprenticeship and be given time to complete your college work. You will receive training on site and attend college one day a week.
You will be involved in numerous tasks including but not limited to
- Assist & learn how to provide compliant Clause 31 and 32 construction programmes
- Assist & learn how to support the commercial team with production of activity schedules and impacts of compensation events.
- Assist & learn about procurement programmes for long lead time items
- Assist & learn about recording and monitoring on-site progress
- Assist & learn about interdepartmental liaison and working with individuals on-site.
- Attend internal meetings.
- Learn & understand the key Contractual clauses and timeframes
- General office and site-based Planning administration
- Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role.
- Comply with Company rules, policies and procedures at all times including those relating to data protection and information security
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks which may be required from time to time and to enable the company to remain adaptable to changing markets and needs
**About You**
- Accurate, an eye for detail.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Working towards understanding the key Contractual clause and timeframes
- Good negotiation skills
- Working towards an appropriate qualification (NVQ Level 4 or 5/HNC/D/Degree)
- Appropriate IT skills including the use of company software packages (MS Office Package)
- Good level communication and negotiation skills
- Time management skills
- Decision making and problem solving.
