Bott and Co are committed to being at the forefront of Road Traffic Accident Claims and leading the way in dealing with the new Whiplash Reforms being implemented on 31st May.
We are looking to recruit **First Notification of Loss Claims Handlers** into our Official Injury Claims Team.
This is an ideal start for any aspiring lawyer to kick start their career at an award winning law firm. This opportunity is a natural starting point for anyone wanting to start their journey in a Market leading Law firm.
- Taking calls from new potential clients
- Providing an outstanding level of service to new client’s and Bott and Co’s work providers
- Assessing liability and prospects of success & making a decision in terms of whether new cases can be accepted
- Identifying potential cases that can be handled outside of the OIC portal
- Submitting the claim to the new Official Injury Compensation Portal.
- Submitting Claims Notification Forms to the existing MOJ Portal
- Chasing clients for documents
- General administrative tasks
- Giving advice to clients
**Working hours**
The hours are 37.5 hours per week on a variable shift pattern, including some weekend work.
- Core business hours of 9.00 - 5.30
- Late shifts on a Rota basis covering 11.30 to 20.00.
- Flexible working pattern of weekend shifts (Saturday / Sunday / Bank Holiday) from 9:00AM - 5:00PM with time off provided in lieu.
Any requests for alternative working hours would be considered upon request. However, late shifts and weekends do form a vital part of the role and would be required on a rotational basis.
**The flexible working pattern would usually consist of a maximum of 4 week day late shifts and 2 x weekend shift (either Saturday or Sunday) per month**.

Following this, a hybrid home working pattern may be considered with a full IT set up being provided (PC, office phone etc).
