Independent Forgings and Alloys (IFA) is one of the UK’s leading independent aerospace and industrial forgers. Operating from a 680 000ft2 facility in Sheffield, we manufacture high-integrity, open-die and closed-die forged components in nickel alloy, titanium, stainless steel and carbon alloys for customers and tier-one supplierswithin the aerospace, nuclear, power generation, marine as well as oil and gas sector.

**Main Purpose of the Role**

We are currently looking for a Skilled Labourer to join our team. You will be responsible for general duties across departments.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Department housekeeping and maintenance.
- Assisting the department employees as required.
- Loading and unloading of lorries.
- Disposal of waste, turnings, general rubbish and waste oils.
- Segregation, weighing and logging of valuable scrap turnings.
- Packing and transport of Finished machined parts and dies for sub-con.
- Locating and transport of components around site safely as required using a FLT and OHC.
- Marking parts/dies using the portadot stamping machine.
- Packing of items ready for despatch in the Non-destructive Testing Department.
- Taking and collecting dies to/from sub-con (driving licence required).
- Helping with combo changes.
- Etching identification onto new dies and tools.
- Checking and maintaining oil levels in machines.

Any other duties as may reasonably be required.

**Skills and Experience**

**Essential**:

- Experience in handling a FLT and overhead crane.
- Attention to detail.
- Manual handling ability.
- Good communication skills.
- Team working skills.

**Desirable**:

- Part marking experience.

**Qualifications**

**Essential**:

- Slinging and crane operation qualification.
- FLT license.
- Educated to 5 GCSEs equivalent to A-C, including Maths and English
