We are seeking a dedicated and experienced **1:1 SEN Teaching** **Assistant** to provide full-time support to a **Year 5 student with ASD and challenging behaviour** in **Stockton-on-Tees**. This position is ideal for a compassionate and committed individual who is eager to make a real impact on a child's educational journey.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide tailored 1:1 support to a Year 5 student with ASD and challenging behaviour.
- Implement strategies to support the student's emotional and educational development.
- Work closely with teachers and SENCO to adapt learning materials and create a structured environment.
- Assist in managing challenging behaviours and promoting positive interactions.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the student.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant, supporting students with ASD and challenging behaviour.
- Strong behaviour management skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
- Ability to build positive relationships and create a supportive learning environment.
- A commitment to promoting inclusivity and equal opportunities in education.
- Relevant qualifications in supporting children with special educational needs (preferred).
- A strong understanding of **safeguarding** and the ability to follow policies effectively.
- **Level 3 Safeguarding training** (or willingness to complete training provided by Humly).

In accordance with the safeguarding vulnerable groups’ regime [2006] & the relevant Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE) DfE guidance, **any offer of employment made will be conditional upon the results of checks from the Disclosure & Barring Service** (“the DBS”) and Teacher Services (regarding teacher prohibition/disqualification from working with children and young people).
