We are working with an expanding power engineering company, supplying new and refurbished Power and Distribution transformers, HV & LV switchgear, Motors, HV & LV installation and turnkey packages.

**The Role: Quality Manager
Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and execute the overall quality control, assurance and improvement plans in the business according to ISO standards and best practices.
- Ensure the business maintains ISO9001 accreditation for its quality system
- Collate non-conformance details, capturing all elements including any costs.
- Prepare and support the enforcement of good practices by demonstrating the appropriate leadership to establish a culture of high quality.
- Conduct training, toolbox talks and presentations for quality matters and implementation of corrective actions (root cause)
- Conduct internal quality audits and supplier audits as necessary, creating supporting documentation and follow up of actions.
- Preparing monthly reports covering all aspects of quality performance and report back to the business.
- Training/coaching operators to the required quality standards, giving feedback of issues raised in an appropriate manner.

**Applicants must be able to demonstrate**:

- Proven experience as a quality advisor or manager, ideally with transformer or switchgear knowledge or in an electrical/manufacturing industry.
- Auditing experience, trained internal auditor qualification an advantage
- Proactive and positive individual with a 'can-do’ attitude to tasks with the ability to stay calm under pressure
- High level of verbal and written communication skill.
- A great team player who is conscientious, dedicated and an enthusiastic individual

**Preferably they will also be able to show experience of**:

- Membership of CQI, IRCA register and continuing professional development
- Knowledge of quality assurance tools, root cause analysis etc.
- Knowledge of quality requirements in electrical products at higher voltages (11kV+)

Hours of work are generally Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00 but we do have a flexible working approach as required. This role is based at our main office.
