Specifically:Promote positive safety culture / awareness considering behaviours and attitudesParticipate in safety audits/checks when requiredComplete initial accident, incident and near miss investigations and reportingEnforce compliance with safe working practices (SOPs)Production & Quality:Maximise output in line with production planOptimises outputs by reducing scrap levels, blend costs and energy use whilst maximising machine utilisationManage labour costs and plan resources effectivelyEnsure quality systems are followed, standards are met, and corrective actions are closed outEnforce 5s principals across all departmentsEffective delegation of engineering resourceWork closely with planning to understand customer requirements / prioritiesEnforce production/quality audit requirementsPeopleIdentify and support training and development of direct reports across all departmentsResponsible for the completion of all training requirements for all employees (new and existing) across all departmentsManage internal recruitment and agency resourceEnforce effective absence management controls and individual performance managementReview of performance and feedback to direct reports via the appraisal processQualificationsQualifications/RequirementsA proven track record of successful leadership within a manufacturing organisationExperience of day to day running of a manufacturing plantSelf-motivated with proven experience of developing and motivating employeesGood interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people.Good written and presentational skills.Ability to perform under pressureExcellent IT skills and the ability to analyse data #J-18808-Ljbffr
