We are currently recruiting for Trainee Travel Coordinators to join our Customer teams here at NST Travel Group.

**The Role**

As a Trainee Travel Coordinators, you will be involved in tasks designed to build the essential business skills, product knowledge, and customer first attitude to be an effective Educational Travel Sales and/or Service professional.

During your initial period you will be involved in activities to build the essential knowledge and skills for success and give you a flavour of the different roles within our Travel teams.

Typical tasks will include;
- Creating quotes and following up on enquiries with support from our experienced Travel sales team members
- Requesting and confirming bookings with restaurants and attractions, such as museums, theatres, and other excursions on behalf of our experienced Tour planning teams
- Using company IT systems to manage tour and customer information
- Liaising directly with customers to ensure tour payments are made in a timely manner
- Participating in projects to build your knowledge of our products and key educational travel destinations
Once you have mastered the essentials, you will start to utilise your skills by;
- Using your sales skills and negotiation skills to help secure bookings from new or existing customers
- Using your destination knowledge to help create travel itineraries for group
- Along the way you will be supported with training activities that will help build your capability and confidence.

We want people who can demonstrate the following:

- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- IT Literate with knowledge and experience of using MS products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent verbal communication and listening skills
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent written communication skills
- Grade 4 / C in GCSE English and Maths or equivalent/higher level qualification
**Desirable skills / experience**
- Experience of liaising with customers by telephone
- Experience of effectively managing and prioritising workloads autonomously using time management and organisational skills
