**Job summary**:
The **Regional Engagement Support (Administration Officer), **under the direction of the Assistant Naval Regional Commander (Engagement) (ANRC (E)), is responsible for providing a flexible and mobile logistic and administrative support to regional engagement functions, enabling the NRC team to direct maximum resources to their engagement tasks. By the nature of this role, tasking will take place throughout the region and will include a high degree of travel and overnight stays in support of engagement events. Working hours will be aligned to the routine weekly 37 hr package, with a requirement for flexibility to cover attendance at regional events. This will include out of hours and weekend work, which will be recompensed through a blend of TOIL or Flexitime.
**Job description**:
Primary duties include:
- Support the logístical and administrative requirements regarding the delivery of regional engagement activities, throughout the North of England + IOM.
- Ensure regional engagement equipment remains serviceable, maintained and report any defects by completing corrective paperwork.
- Maintain files containing all manufacturers' manuals, guarantees and ensure relevant risk assessment paperwork to up to date for engagement equipment.
- Drive team vehicles in accordance with MT regulations adherence to the Highway Code.
- Ensure the road worthiness and maintenance of team vehicles. and complete/collate end of month MT paperwork for submission to the Office Manager.
- Support to the SO3 Engagement Officer, through regular liaison with event planners to confirm/identify and agree site set-up arrangements.
- Maintain all unit audio visual equipment, reporting any defects in setting up and testing equipment and operating as required during presentations.
- Maintain stores lists for all NRCNE RN merchandise + clothing, ensuring items are issued and recorded accordingly.
- Book duty flights / rail / hotels for NRC NE HQ, ensuring all activities have been approved prior to booking.
- Handle booking for MT or hire vehicles as the need arises and ensure MT Fleet vehicles are cleaned weekly.
- Support & mentor augmented personnel in the setup of RN assets/equipment, used during regional events.
Secondary Duties to include:
- Act as NRCNE photographer (no formal qualification required) and produce NRCNE Storyboards and newsletter submissions.
- Act as Deputy Information Technology Security Officer and Asset Manager, coordinating the provision of all Service mobile IT systems to NRC NE team members, through the OM as ITSO.
AUTHORITY AND COMMITTEES
- Liaise with internal and external agencies as required to deliver delegated RESO outputs.
- Standard NRC meetings.
- Regional Capability Demonstrations (RCD's), receptions and other engagement events as required.
- Team planning events, workshops and conferences as directed.
**Person specification**:
Experience working as part of a team and setting up display equipment, incl; tents, marquee's and large inflatable obstacle courses and audio systems
Organised and familiar with running a small equipment store facility, including stock control and issue
Intermediate skill level with IT Systems (Outlook and MS Office)
An understanding and or experience of the Royal Navy and the Armed Forces
Experience compiling and maintaining risk assessments for equipment
Experience of booking and arranging travel, coupled with a working knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, Skype and Teams
Full UK Manual Driving Licence essential
D1 license is desirable but not essential
