**Job Overview**

We are currently looking for an IT Systems Support Analyst to join our busy IT department. The role requires strong comprehensive technical support skills, including troubleshooting, installing, maintaining and delivery of a wide range of IT systems.

This role will also assist with the ongoing evolution of our network, by assisting with configuration of and implementation of security services such as our FortiGate firewalls and also NAC. This role will also be required to help with wider IT infrastructureproject work, such as upgrading our Windows Server systems as well as assist with IT support across the group for various technologies.

The role will be part remote with time based at the Delta Groups offices in Waltham Cross, it will also involve occasional visits to other sites.

Due to the nature of this role, some out of hours work maybe required.

**Key requirements**

Essential
- Experience managing firewall devices, particularly including Fortigate and Cisco ASA
- Configuration and support of Windows servers within VMWare VSphere environment.
- Continue to make IT systems highly available and fault tolerant.
- Provide technical support for Microsoft servers and desktops
- Provide efficient support for the running for information systems in line with agreed business service levels.
- Manage, initiate, co-ordinate, and escalate internal support request tickets.
- Troubleshoot and repair / fix (where possible) hardware, software and network issues. Escalating issues to other IT team members when necessary.
- Create and maintain IT systems documentation.
- Liaise with third party IT suppliers as required to resolve any software or hardware issues.
- Assist in proactively finding ways to improve the companies IT functions.
- Automation/Scripting (Powershell/bash/vbscript/etc)
- Desktop and server patch management
- Administrative support of Delta Group telephony systems.
- Undertake and delivery of small to medium size projects as required.
- Provide support and guidance to 1
st
line support engineers.
- Provide advice on improvements to IT systems in respect to high availability and disaster recovery.
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong written skills — technical documentation and diagramming
- Day to day service operational support, including problem and incident ticket investigation and resolution.
- A minimum of 6 years in a similar role is required.

**Desirable Technical Skills**
- Monitoring of network infrastructure with native & 3rd party tools like PRTG and Wireshark
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Powershell, SQL, Python) is a plus

**Desirable Qualifications**
