**The Opportunity**

We have the opportunity for you to join our team as Senior Planner. Within this role you will support the Planning Manager with the management of the supply function. Collaborating with a team of material and packaging planners you will be responsible for supporting daily activity and supply issues.
- Management of the supply planning team and the co-ordination of their daily operational activity
- To maintain availability of materials and packaging to the bakery
- Ensure that customer service and supply issues are appropriately communicated both externally and internally
- Work closely with the group procurement to ensure smooth transition of any activity / change
- Work closely with demand planning team on any customer/forecasting related issues
- Training and development of the team
- Ensure compliance to technical requirements and assist direct reports in cross functional challenges
- Managing the department KPIs (Service, Forecast Accuracy, Waste, Projects)
- To provide cover for the Planning Manager

- Significant planning experience with 2-3 years within a manufacturing environment preferably food
- Detailed understanding of Material / Packaging planning and scheduling. Ability to problem solve at pace
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills and the ability to analyse data in a range of formats
- Advanced MS Excel knowledge
- A competence in other Microsoft office packages
- Ability to coach and develop a team of planners
