**The Opportunity**

We have the opportunity for you to join our team as a Production Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring that all allocated plans are completed in line with business requirements and to required deadlines.

Some of what you can expect to be doing includes:

- Processing sales orders, liaising with distribution, stock reconciliation, generating production plans, improving production plan attainment, issuing of cooking detail to the factory on a daily basis and keeping out of life returns to a minimum.
- Issuing production schedules with correct volume and technical information.
- Monitoring the production performance versus plan and analyse variances.
- Updating the production plan with live information to monitor operational performance.
- Monitoring stock levels and their “use by” to maximise efficiency whilst minimising waste.
- Identifying short term production bottle necks and liaising with operational teams to rectify.
- Working closely with operational teams to maximise labour and production efficiencies.
- Attending regular production meetings.
- Maintaining and updating planning systems as required.
- Provide cover for Planners and Materials Schedulers as required

**The Right Person**

We are one big team and we look for people to join our business who want to work with others but take responsibility for doing their best every day to help to make the business a success.
- A sound knowledge of production and planning processes, preferably within a chilled food manufacturing environment
- Experience of working with computers, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- The ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative
- Excellent interpersonal / communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- A high level of numeracy, with a methodical and logical approach to your work
- Attention to detail and a flexible approach to your work
- Desirable - Level 2 or above Food Safety Certificate
