Unipart Logistics (UL) has secured a contract to run the new, custom-built Jaguar Land RoverGlobal Parts Logistics Centre at Appleby Magna in Leicestershire. The operation will be housed at Jaguar Land Rover’s new Mercia Park campus, one of the largest UK warehouse developments for a single customer.
With a multimillion-pound major facility investment program already underway, we would like you to join us now to be part of the core implementation team and to transition to site leadership roles in the ‘business as usual’ structure.This is a great opportunityto be a major part of the successful implementation of what is said to be the largest automotive logistics project in the UK.
Your role will be to support the weekly and monthly operational reporting. Working with Operations to identify, track and understand cost drivers and the impact on financial results. You will also provide business partner support to the Operations Teams includingstock and customer services.
**Assistant Finance Planner Responsibilities include:**:
- Be responsible for maintaining and reporting monthly cost trackers
- Manage purchase orders and invoice reconciliations
- Liaise with operations to maintain an accurate view of costs and accruals.
- Manage ad hoc client and internal analysis requests.
- Feed into quarterly forecast and budget updates for internal and client consolidation
**Assistant Finance Planner Requirements**:
- A finance background with good financial understanding
- Analytical, with good attention to detail, you’ll also be adaptable and able to react quickly and effectively to changes and requests
- Experience of Cost Modelling
- Ability to work to targets, timescales, and deadlines
- Ability to work independently and on your own initiative
- Good verbal and written communication
- Solid Excel skills (incl. PivotTables & VLookups) and any knowledge or experience with warehouse management systems would be an advantage
