Our client in South Shields is looking for a string administrator with a flair for multi tasking, customer service and logical thinking. Its a role with variety and on occasions will be challenging and also rewarding.

You will need great attention to detail and good IT skills.

**Overall objectives of the post**
- To work with elected members, communities, colleagues and partners to deliver outstanding, proactive and responsive housing and area management services.
- To support the delivery of an integrated approach to housing and area management, in particular cleaner, safer and greener services in neighbourhoods.

Key tasks of the post

1. You will be responsible for delivering a high quality integrated customer focused tenure blind Housing and Area Management Service within the Borough.

You will

1.1 Assist with the development and delivery of action plans for the communities you serve, ensuring resident satisfaction and improved outcomes.

1.2 Co-ordinate and contribute to multi-discipline, multi-agency groups to resolve local issues proactively and reactively.

1.3 Proactively deal with all aspects of tenancy from sign up, support during tenancy and terminations including transfers, exchanges, abandoned properties, conditions matters and temporary re-housing.

1.4 Ensure new tenants are aware of their tenancy providing them with advice and guidance on all aspects of their tenancy and local community.

1.5 Provide a range of services to help and support tenants with their duties under the tenancy agreement.

1.6 Ensure all tenants comply with the terms of their tenancy agreement taking swift action when breeches occur.

1.7 Take swift formal action when breeches occur within the community. 1.8 Deal with and issue fixed penalty notices.

1.9 Work with colleagues across the Council and South Tyneside Homes to co ordinate relevant activity in the local area.

1.10 Understand fully the relevant performance indicators in your area, and support activity that will drive up performance ensure that community standards are met.

1.11 Assist with attracting external funding to support the delivery of projects for the community you serve.

1.12 Work with elected members to identify local issues and develop plans to resolve them efficiently and effectively. 2

1.13 Work with elected members to develop innovative projects for local areas that will make them cleaner, greener and safer.

1.14 Engage and work with local communities/residents proactively to identify local issues and develop solutions to resolve them efficiently and effectively.

1.15 Support the Area Manager when necessary to attend CAFs and other forums to engage with local residents and members to gather intelligence about local communities.

1.16 Support the Area Manager to attend CAFs and other forums to report on local activity, performance and outcomes.

1.17 Support the development and planning of consultation and engagement activities within the local area.

1.18 Support the Area Manager where necessary by attending strategic partnership meetings to update partners on local activity, performance and outcomes. 1.19 Deal efficiently and effectively to complaints, analysing trend information to drive service improvements.

1.20 Utilising other feedback from residents, elected members and community groups to drive service improvements.
