**JOB DESCRIPTION**: Product Design Engineer, Design Engineer, Project Engineer, CAD Design Engineer - Automotive OEM, Automotive Tier 1, 2 & 3 Suppliers, Industrial Fasteners, Components

Our division is a leading manufacturers of engineered plastic components and fasteners supplying to the Automotive OEM and Tier 1&2 manufacturers. Key global accounts in the UK include Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) and Nissan turning over in excess of $200m in revenueand employing over 500 people across its 5 plants in Europe.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**: Product Design Engineer, Design Engineer, Project Engineer, CAD Design Engineer - Automotive OEM, Automotive Tier 1, 2 & 3 Suppliers, Industrial Fasteners, Components
- Ensure that part design is compatible with advanced manufacturing processes in conjunction with the Tooling Manager
- Collaborate with the Account team to source prototype tooling and parts
- Attend customer review meetings when necessary
- Concept generation as well as creating 3D Models and 2D drawings
- Develop patentable innovative plastic fastener Solutions
- Liaise with other Units within the division to share ideas and proliferate technologies throughout the business
- Support quality issues with customer (design, timing, materials)

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**: Product Design Engineer, Design Engineer, Project Engineer, CAD Design Engineer - Automotive OEM, Automotive Tier 1, 2 & 3 Suppliers, Industrial Fasteners, Components
- Proven track record in Product Design
- Ideally have good knowledge of CAD, creating 3D models & 2D drawings
- Experience of preparing technical presentations
- Qualified to at least HNC level, preferably in a Mechanical discipline
- Any customer facing experience would be a benefit
- Knowledge of the Automotive sector would be of particular interest, but not essential
