Playmania Pre-School and Nursery is a new nursery opened in Handsworth, S13 for 0-5 year olds (Jan 2025). We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Practitioner with a passion for giving children the best start in life to expand our growing team.

We believe that every child provides new opportunities for growth and learning and therefore want all our staff to continue to grow in their development by being hands on in the classroom and really knowing the children in our care.

The implementation of our two-way behaviour management policy is unique to education settings - providing children and staff alike the unique opportunity to learn from each other and allow room for mistakes and improvements in your development.

You will work between of the hours of 7:30am-6:30pm with the possibility of a 7am start occasionally. We are looking for full and part time staff so hours will be discussed individually. As a general rule we will require staff to be able to start at 7.30am or close at 6.30pm.

You will be entitled to all bank holidays off and 4 weeks of pre-specified annual leave per annum. As well as one-week flexible leave dependant on when in the year you join the team (dependant on when you join us within the academic year).

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Delivering lessons and activities to the highest standard
- Be able to spot potential signs of safeguarding concerns and report these to the right person
- Be able to support children in their development and physical care routines.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum Level 3 Qualification in Early Years or equivalent
- Ideally at least 2 years’ experience working in an early years setting
- Enhanced DBS clearance
- Solid knowledge of Safeguarding practices and relevant training
- Solid first aid training and other relevant training.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.21 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
