**An exciting opportunity available for an Event Coordinator / Supervisor to contribute to the planning, supervision, and execution of a range of procedures to assist in the successful delivery of a special project. **
Working for the SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority) this is a great opportunity to work within a rewarding environment whilst gaining experience in the Events team.
Situated in the superb location of Shawfair out with Dalkeith/ Edinburgh, the office is easily accessible by car with free parking on site and great bus links to the nearby bus station.
- Hours: 35 hours per week with OT
- Pay: £12.04 per hour
- Duration: ASAP for 3 - 4 months initially
- Location: Shawfair, Dalkeith/ Midlothian
- Must hold driving licence as travel required in and around Edinburgh - SQA provide car
- Flexible to work overtime / weekends - £18.06 per hour OT and £24.08 per hour Sunday

**Main Duties**:

- Be responsible for identifying requirements and deploying resource effectively to ensure that tasks are completed accurately, timeously and within organisation policies and procedures for the Procedural Programme.
- Be able to build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and markers/ venues to ensure a high level of customer service.
- Ensure that team members adhere to standard operating procedures in the delivery of service within Events Planning/ Servicing operations.
- Ensure that all operations staff are trained and adhere to standards; create, maintain and develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Receive and report feedback from customers and clients and to actively make efforts to address any issues, seeking to identify continuous improvement opportunities wherever possible.
- Full administrative support within the Event team to ensure a smooth running of the exam period

**Skills/Experience Required**:

- Previous event experience would be desired but not required
- Proficient IT skills including MS Office packages
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
