Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this is a developmental role, having ownership for HR administration across the business units within the group and a key component of the team.

The HR Assistant is expected to support an excellent working environment and to encourage positive communication across the workforce, promoting a culture of openness, trust and understanding that helps individuals and teams optimise their performance.

We are searching for an ambitious hands-on, highly effective HR Assistant with experience of working in dynamic environments in an administrative capacity.

The role will be immersive and highly visible across the business, so will be full time, office based at our purpose-built facility in Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**People Management**
- Onboarding new staff (offer letters, references, contracts, passing info to payroll etc)
- Deliver company 1st day induction to all new starters.
- Manage internal staff relations and where required, support the HR Manager to deal with disagreements, complaints, and grievances
- Ensure up to date staff handbook, contracts, Employee satisfaction surveys and compliance in line with legislation, including GDPR.
- Maintain records and the ongoing accuracy and use of the HR system
- Support the business in making “real-time” decisions with accurate and timely input as a dedicated HR resource
- Support compliance with Health and Safety procedures, risk assessments and company policies.

**Appraisal Management**
- Help ensure that the Appraisal process is fully understood & utilised across the business
- Schedule appropriate training for managers to allow improvements in appraisal delivery

**Payroll Management**
- Assist the Finance team with monthly adjustment & overtime information for payroll submissions
- Support various departments to submit overtime claims
- Ensure staff and managers are made aware of deadlines and encourage conformity
- Be the first point of contact for payroll discrepancies, missed hours, overpayments etc.

**HR Projects**
- Constant evolution and improvement of the onboarding process
- Identifying recommendations to improve sickness absence levels
- Alongside Facilities Management, support the Fire Marshalls and First Aiders, ensuring that their training is up to date.
- Support maintenance of Cyber Essentials, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 certification and other environmental activities

**Knowledge, Skills, and Experience**:

- Strong relationship builder, with high level of integrity
- Discrete and respects confidentiality
- Excellent communicator & interpersonal skills
- Positive approach to work, people, and challenges
- Flexible in switching priorities, meeting short timelines
- Some HR generalist experience
- Interested in becoming CIPD qualified
