**Job Summary**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our small accounting practice. We need someone with flexibility and a positive attitude who can work within our small team effectively.

**Duties**
- Assist in processing book keeping transactions efficiently.
- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Freeagent or Xero.
- Preparation of monthly payroll for clients.
- Perform data entry tasks to ensure all financial information is up to date and accurate..
- Assist in preparation of year end accounts and tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations in all financial activities.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Strong IT skills and familiarity with bookkeeping software.
- Experience in payroll and, ideally, accounts preparation.
- Attention to detail and commitment to excellent customer service.
- Strong data entry skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new systems and processes within the financial services sector.
- Qualifications not essential but an advantage.

This role would suit someone who thrives in a varied role and values working in a supportive environment.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £24,570.00-£27,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
