- Our people are at the heart of National Museums Liverpool. Colleagues from across the NML team make a difference every day, creating memorable experiences for everyone and challenging expectations. We pride ourselves on being a place for everyone, but we are always aiming higher, aspiring to be representative of the communities we serve. Through our people, we are building a culture which embeds trust, respect and inclusion and an organisation in which people are engaged and empowered to enable National Museums Liverpool to evolve. You could be just the right person to join us.
- We currently have the post(s) of Project Coordinator available.
- The Transatlantic Slavery and Legacies in Museums Forum was created by National Museums Liverpool in 2021 as a national partnership consortium with Black Cultural Archives, Bristol Museums, Glasgow Museums, Hull Museums and the Museum of London in response to public demand and a desire from the museum sector to review how we treat transatlantic slavery and its legacies in museums.
- Based at National Museums Liverpool, this new role is key for the successful delivery of an exciting three-year programme funded by Arts Council England centred around network development, a programme of events and projects to share best practice, develop skills and help combat ongoing racism and bias. The role will be fundamental to ensure the future growth and long-term sustainability of the Forum.
- Reporting to the Head of Partnerships & Strategic Relations, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for the development and delivery of a programme of activity and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations of the Forum. The role requires a high level of self-management and will entail a varied cross-section of work from leading event planning and delivery, membership development, communications, project management and administration. It will also mean holding up the mission of the forum to promote anti-racist practice and build an inclusive, diverse, and supportive network where members feel valued and contribute to the life of the Forum.
- The Project Coordinator will have the chance to be part of National Museums Liverpool whilst engaging with a diverse network of members across the UK.
**Additional Information Interviews to be held on 24th August AM & PM / 25th August AM**
**Disclosure and Barring Service Checks (DBS)**
