A manufacturing business with a global client base is now seeking a Shipping Coordinator / Customer Manager to join their West Bromwich based head office. The current incumbent is retiring, and as this role plays an integral part of the company's ability to achieve their targets, it has become their number one priority.

As part of the senior management team, you will be tasked with looking after a client base of over 200 customers, as well as coordinating a team of 4 customer service advisors who report to you. This is a hands-on role where you have to where many hats, customer service manager, export manager, people manager, coordinator and trouble-shooter. This makes this multi-faceted position extremely attractive to people who thrive on a challenge and work well under tight time constraints. A large part of this role is managing customer expectations and making sure they receive the usual high level of service they're used to.

To be a successful within the role you will have:

- Experience in working as a shipping coordinator in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication skills and account management experience
- Have a thorough understanding on the exportation of goods across borders, duty and incoterms in the post-BREXIT age
- Experience working in a customer service management and shipping export role
- IATA and IMDG Certifications (not essential)
- Confident in managing, advising, and coordinating a small team
