Part Times Sales Assistant required for a Family run Newsagents

Hours:
Week 1: Sat 12-5, Mon 12-5, Weds 1-5, Fri 1-5

Week 2: Mon 1-5, Tues 11-5, Weds 1-5, Fri 1-5

Duties include
- To always deliver a friendly service, smiling, greeting and making eye contact with every customer you come into contact with
- Working on tills accurately and efficiently to provide a positive customer experience
- Carry out stock replenishment
- Check stock for sell by dates
- Compile shopping lists
- Put away stock deliveries
- Use paypoint and payzone payment systems
- Use Post Office parcel service
- Cleaning of shelves and making sure shop is kept clean and tidy

Experience of working within a shop environment and using an Epos till system preferred but training will be provided as an immediate start is required.

**Summary**

As a Sales Assistant, you will be instrumental in delivering outstanding customer service and driving sales within our retail environment. Reporting to the Sales Manager, your core communication skills will enable you to engage effectively with customers. You will also manage till operations and utilise your relevant skills in upselling, time management, and organizational skills to support store objectives. Join our team and contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere that fosters customer loyalty and satisfaction.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 18 per week
