Junior Graphic Designer

We are looking for a creative Junior Graphic Designer to join our team. The responsibilities of a Junior Graphic Designer include creating designs according to specifications, reporting to the Design Manager, and improving design tasks.

To be successful as in the role, you should have original ideas and have a keen eye for detail. Ultimately, the successful applicant should be able to create imaginative designs, be open to learning more and create impressive designs that promote the company's vision.

**Key tasks and responsibilities**:

- To work on the promotion of house events and products, creating new campaigns and identities
- Delivering new design assets across online platforms and print eg. digital assets, digital adverts, digital animation, interactive brochures, print collateral.
- To work with existing concepts and templates across online platforms and print including the creation/typesetting, correction and updating of online/print brochures and advertisements.
- To be involved in presenting pitches and creative concepts and new designs to internal teams
- To create and manipulate images, logos and graphics using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and other software
- To work as part of the team to ensure deadlines are met
- To contribute to the overall effectiveness of the team by developing and maintaining good working relationships
- Proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work

**Requirements**:
Good understanding of design across digital and print mediums.

**Skills & Abilities**
- Capable of creating high-quality, eye-catching designs for different mediums
- Ability to follow a brief, ask relevant questions and translate requirements into suitable designs
- Proficiency and ability to work independently with design software and graphics editing software. Essential: Adobe Indesign/Photoshop/Illustrator. Advantageous: After Effects.
- Knowledge of web production is advantageous
- Good working knowledge of print preparation
- Ability to learn new processes, skills and IT systems quickly and effectively
- Accuracy in inputting and amending copy
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to be flexible, multitask and respond effectively to changing priorities
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Pro-active, self-starter and a good team player
- Excellent communication skills

**Experience**

Previous experience in a design role in either a publishing house, marketing environment or design agency working across different mediums.
