To manage and develop the team’s daily and weekly activities in order to meet departmental KPI requirements for service to the highest quality standards at optimum cost through the conformance to agreed ways of working.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Manages the performance of the bottling lines
- Contributes to the identification of improvement plans as reviewed during the daily, weekly and monthly meetings processes
- Report all relevant team KPI’s as defined
- Motivates the team to achieve departmental KPI’s as required
- Addresses safety concerns and incidents within department
- Complies to SHE, Quality and HACCP standards
- Manage housekeeping within area
- Manage people: lead shift handover meetings, work schedules, training needs, HR relationships, individual performance, annual appraisals, innovation program and team motivation
- Look for ways to increase operator utilization & upskilling
- Ensure compliance with and help create SOP’s
- Training plans regularly reviewed for all staff - appropriate records maintained accordingly
- Walk the floor - lead by example, positively challenge under-performance, reinforce good behaviours
- Celebrate success - work collaboratively to develop appropriate recognition policies for the site.
- Actively seek feedback and monitor progress against plans
- Ensure staff are motivated to achieve high standards of performance within department
- Carry out trouble shooting with maintenance department to issue root cause correction, identifying proper process adjustments when required
- Participate in the daily meetings
- Ensure cost optimization across all areas of the department
- Manage shift manning, including arranging replacements for absent employees on the next shift
- Follow up on innovation activities from the team
- Manage line start-up and shutdowns
- Controls lines processes using short interval controls
- Performance Management & compliance with disciplinary procedures

**Experience**:

- Experience of working within a manufacturing/production environment
- Worked in the Spirit Industry or similar FMCG
- Experience managing teams to targets, KPIs
- Experience managing significant change issues
- Excellent knowledge of manufacturing principles, tools and techniques
- Good record of delivering process improvement
- Knowledge of project management principles _(Desirable)_
- Experience of high speed production in a supervisory role would be advantageous _(Desirable)_

**Education**:

- Good basic secondary education
- Appropriate Technical Qualification _(Desirable)_
