Our client a leading professional representative body with 17,000 individual members in England and Wales is currently recruiting for an Events Coordinator

**The Role of Events Coordinator**

To implement the processes pertinent to the large scales events and training courses assigned by the Senior Training and Events Coordinator.

To ensure coordination of own events and training courses is effective.

To ensure that the operational delivery is efficient.

The role has responsibility for delivering, through excellent coordination, the events and training courses which form part of the department's portfolio.

As one of the two Training & Events Coordinator, working in a team of 4 Training & Events staff, the coordinator will be responsible for the logistics pertaining to projects allocated to him/her.

These courses and events are in excess of 100 per year, being relatively short in nature, requiring careful attention to detail, excellent communications (often with very senior trainers and barrister delegates)and the ability to prioritise and adapt.

**Person Specification**

Graduate level or equivalent work experience

Event coordination experience: conferences; seminars; and round-table meetings

Experience of preparation of letters and reports

Ability to develop strong relationships with professional audiences

Proven administration skills in any particular area

Understand project management principles in any particular area

IT literate, to include: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Databases

Strong command of English grammar

Experience of financial controls and budgets, in any particular area

Training and event coordination process

Effective communication skills: written and oral

Works effectively on own initiative

Extremely careful attention to detail

Multi-tasking

Ability to adapt during change in a fast-paced environment and team

Effective team working skills
