If you are interested in becoming a qualified Field Service Engineer (Boilers & Balance of Plant Specialist), this role is for you. Through college study and on-the-job training, you’ll learn about the operation and maintenance of gas fuelled engine and generator sets and to learn how to carry out pro-active and re-active maintenance to industrial, waste heat, fired and combination boilers, dehumidifier and other balance of plant incorporated within gas engine installations throughout the UK.

By the end of the apprenticeship you will have attained a range of engineering skills that will enable you carry out full maintenance, re-active repairs, fault diagnosis and overhaul of industrial boilers, to become a fully qualified Field Service Engineer (Boiler and Balance of Plant Specialist) - earning more than £43,000 per year.

Our Advanced Apprenticeship is the perfect way to kick-start a rewarding career with Clarke Energy. This is a structured, four-year scheme that is nationally recognised and includes completing a NVQ Level 3 Extended Diploma. From the first day, you’ll be doing hands-on work and gaining invaluable experience on placements around the business and developing your knowledge further through tailored, industry specific training.

**What we look for**

We’re not necessarily looking for previous working experience of engineering - just commitment, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

Ø Hold grade C or above in GCSE Maths, English and Science (or equivalent).

Ø Demonstrate strong verbal, written and communication skills.

Ø Have an interest in engineering demonstrated through work experience and/or hobbies.

Ø Be willing to travel and work unsociable hours, away from home when required.

Ø Hold a full UK driving licence.

Ø Have good IT skills.

Pay: £10,560.00-£29,792.27 per year
