**About The Role**:
**Closing date**: 9AM 10th July

We’re a dedicated and values-driven organisation committed to transforming the lives of children and young people with learning disabilities and complex needs. As part of Compass, a national provider of specialist services, we focus on creating nurturing environments where every child can thrive.

Our children are at the heart of everything we do. Many have experienced adversity, trauma, or care journeys that make their needs more complex. We meet these challenges with compassion, structure, and a belief in every child’s potential. Across our children’s homes and bespoke education settings, we work therapeutically to achieve real, lasting outcomes.

You’ll be joining a supportive, high-performing team that shares a deep commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and a child-centred approach.

**The Role**
We’re seeking a passionate and experienced **Assistant Director** to lead and grow our services for children and young people with **learning disabilities and complex needs**, including those with autism, global developmental delay, and profound multiple learning difficulties.

This is a **new and strategic leadership role**, designed to help shape a growing portfolio of specialist homes. You’ll work alongside our Managing Director and wider senior leadership team to deliver high-quality care, drive innovation, and ensure that our homes not only meet but exceed regulatory standards.

This is a unique opportunity to build something special - combining leadership, operational oversight, and a deep understanding of therapeutic, child-centred care.
- Have a proven leadership track record in children’s residential care or adult learning disabilities services
- Bring a strong understanding of the needs and experiences of children with learning disabilities and complex behaviours
- Be passionate about developing staff and nurturing therapeutic, trauma-informed teams
- Understand the regulatory landscape (Ofsted or CQC) and have experience maintaining outstanding compliance and quality
- Demonstrate strategic thinking with the ability to grow and shape services in line with organisational goals
- Be values-led, emotionally intelligent, and focused on real outcomes for children

- Access to leadership development opportunities and professional qualifications
- Regular therapeutic supervision and coaching
