**Overview**

Head of Product

The Head of Product is a critical role in ensuring the future success of Hero. They will work closely with the current product team, the CTO and development team, and the CEO, to create a robust, scalable, and successful product, that users love to use

Hero plays in a space that is fundamentally important for wider society (the ability of patients to access healthcare in a way that works for them and the ability for clinicians to access and communicate with these patients), and the success of the company can and does have genuinely positive effects for society at large. Hero is competing in this space with a number of competitors, some of whom are open to partnerships, and some of whom are encroaching into Hero’s primary domain of Online Booking for clinicians.

The Head of Product will manage and guide the day-to-day work of the product and development teams and will work to understand the changing market in which Hero plays and Hero’s market positioning compared to competitors. The Head of Product will plan a robust product strategy, which will provide the north star for the company, and will determine, implement and track measures of success for this strategy.

**Responsibilities**
- Head of Product_
- Work closely with the current product team to understand the product, its value proposition/s and current roadmaps
- Determine weekly/monthly focus for the product and development teams, and manage and support with the day-to-day work of the teams
- Manage and iterate the end-to-end product development process (idea to delivery)
- Work with the CEO and product team to understand in-flight and potential partnership opportunities, and potential avenues for future product development
- Scan the market to both understand competitor activity, and the private healthcare and NHS markets
- Nurture and coach the junior members of the product team
- Create and iterate a robust product strategy, including defining and tracking measures of success
- Create, test and iterate new ideas with customers and end users

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years in a product role, with a previous focus on product strategy
- Experience with market scanning and competitor analysis
- Experience with commercial modelling
- Comfortable using Kanban and Sprints
- Comfortable using Jira
- Genuine enjoyment of nurturing and coaching others
- _Preferably: _Healthcare or clinical background
- _Preferably:_ Comfortable with using Figma and GitHub
- _Preferably: _Comfortable with data analytics and visualisation (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
