Trainee in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders
- 37.5 hours per week
- Band 6 rising to Band 7 on successful completion of professional training
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion to become a CBT -ED therapist for those meeting diagnostic criteria for an Eating Disorder. Do you have some basic knowledge and experience of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and significant experience of working with people experiencing an Eating Disorder?
If you have a core profession in mental health, or perhaps other relevant training and a range of experiences of working in Eating Disorder services that could be drawn upon to develop a Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes Portfolio (KSA portfolio) you may be the person we are looking for to undertake this sought-after training opportunity.
During the remaining part of the week, you will work as a trainee in a dynamic community Eating Disorder Service for Adults under close supervision, working within the limits of your experience for your stage of training. You will need to have flexibility and adaptability and a passion for working with adults with complex mental health problems.
These posts are within the wider Eating Disorder Service which also includes Clinical Psychology, Psychotherapists, Specialist Nurses, Specialist Dietitians and Specialist Support Workers
