**The Role**

We’re looking for maternity cover for a Social Media Lead (12-month fixed term contract) to join our team.

In this role, you’ll report directly to the Social Media Director and take a lead role in managing more junior members of the team (including your own line reports) and overall team workloads.

As one of the more senior members of the team, you’ll be working closely with the Social Media Director to refine and implement processes within the team and develop further our social media service offering.

You’ll lead on the social team’s larger, flagship client accounts, overseeing all social media delivery across your set of accounts, which will involve working closely with other members of the Social Media team, and other teams across the agency, such as Client Services, Creative, Media, Brand & Insight, and our Films team.

In addition to being responsible for the smooth running of your social media client accounts, you’ll support in the crafting and delivering on the social media strategies - paid and organic.

You’ll also be focused on developing strong relationships with our clients, ensuring that our clients are able to rely on our social media expertise to support with their business objectives.
- Key Requirements**What you’ll do**

As a Senior lead within the Social Media team, it’ll be your role to ensure that we’re recommending the most effective Social activity to our clients, within budget and in line with best practices and platform updates.

Typical responsibilities include:

- Leading on kick-off calls with clients to establish business and social media objectives & KPIs
- Providing social media consultancy, i.e. explaining platform/channel updates to your clients, ensuring they know how features work and how they can be best utilised in line with campaign objectives
- Writing and signing off cost proposals for strategy, content creation, shoots, etc
- Presenting strategic recommendations (content, campaigns, paid, boosting)
- Keeping track of the progress of projects
- Working closely with the Social Media Managers, Execs and Content Creators across your clients to ensure strategies are being implemented successfully
- Ensuring that junior members of the team are clear on their tasks and responsibilities across projects and campaigns
- Managing workloads across the team, ensuring the smooth delivery of outputs
- Overseeing live campaigns, optimising when necessary and regularly reporting
- Being the go-to person for advice, discussion and consultancy with clients and colleagues on social platforms, audience behaviour, content best-practices etc
- Keeping across latest news and updates, making strategic recommendations where necessary
- Reviewing calendars, copy and content; offering constructive feedback
- Liaising with Client Services teams to ensure all client requests/questions are addressed
- Line management of at least two junior members of the Social team, offering mentorship, coaching and supporting their development
- Taking part in new business pitches
- Business development, growing existing accounts and selling in services, prospecting and writing proposals

Occasionally, depending on capacity, the role will also require hands-on involvement with the day-to-day deliverables, such as content calendar building, copywriting and asset design, paid campaign management and reporting.
- Required Skills & Experience**About you**

To be considered for this position you will need to have at least 8+ years’ experience working in social media.

The key skills and knowledge we’re looking for are:

- Previous agency experience
- Previous experience of leading on organic and paid social strategies
- Previous experience of paid social campaign management
- At least a couple of years’ experience line managing junior members.
- Experience of budget management and cost proposals
- Understanding of insights/research tools, processes and methodologies
- Confident speaking to and presenting to senior stakeholders
- Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
- Excellent time management skills
- Be an excellent writer Knowledge of wider marketing campaigns (preferable)**About the Team & Agency**
