**ABOUT THE ROLE**

This role reports to the Head of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications. It is jointly responsible for maintaining the organisation’s online presence, including supporting the development and enhancement of content for the website and social media channels, as well as creating and developing content for strategic communication campaigns.

**ABOUT YOU**

We are looking for a confident, self-starter who has a true passion for social media in a digital marketing context, with an energetic, pro-active, and creative approach.

You will understand and enjoy engaging with people through social media, can tell a compelling story and will use your skills in multimedia design to help spread the word about the great work we do within Social Interest Group, through various materials and digital communications.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Drive growth and engagement across SIG’s social media channels and uploading content onto the website and staff intranet in a timely manner.
- Develop and grow SIG’s image, graphics, and story bank through ensuring our content is easily identifiable through use of SEO friendly content.
- Monitor social media threads and feeds on an ongoing basis.
- Carry out competitor analysis through SWOT analysis and keep on top of current trends.
- Lead the development and enhancement of multimedia materials and support the development of written content to grow and expand the charity’s online and offline presence and network.
- Bring storytelling to life through multimedia, capturing stories internally and externally to engage a variety of stakeholders.
- Support with creating and implementing a comprehensive social media plan, continually proposing new ideas and concepts for content that tells a story and showcases our work.
- Develop and maintain a monthly social media calendar, creating relevant content around our work, the sector, and our services.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to plan and execute a consistent stream of campaigns and creative content, embedding best practice across content creation and key message development.
- Reporting and analysing social media and website performance using our dashboards. Share audience insights and make recommendations to improve performance for future audience engagement, social media content creation and campaign planning.

Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position.

**KEY CRITERIA**

What we need:

- Experience in WordPress CMS
- Experience in Graphic Design (Imagery or Graphics experience for social media)
- A proven track record of creating and writing engaging content and proven Marketing experience
- Experience in using Microsoft Office, Hootsuite
- Willingness to travel across London, Brighton, Luton, and Bedfordshire

What we would like, but not essential:

- Proven experience using photo and design editing software (e.g. Canva) and video editing software
- Experience using Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
- Experience in Multimedia creation, including video
- Relevant degree in Marketing, Social Media Marketing or Digital Marketing
