Join our Discharge Planning Team as an Apprentice Administrator, gaining extensive knowledge and skills whilst being supported to finish the 18-month course with a Level 3 Business Adminstration qualification. Within the role we will have the flexibility for you to work one day each week from home so you can complete apprenticeship related tasks.
Your role will consist of providing administrative support to the Community Discharge Planning Team ensuring that work is prioritised according to need and the office environment is efficiently managed.
The role is based across two sites, Southport and Ormskirk District General Hospital, you will need to be able to work from both sites depending on business needs.
Main Responsibilities
**The main responsibilities for the role will include**:
- Completing a daily patient tracker which is forwarded to system partners and ensuring all updates are contained on tracker
- Acting as the first point of contact for patients and be responsible for managing telephone calls, dealing with all enquiries, maintaining detailed messages and escalating to nursing staff
- Creating new referrals on the clinical system and allocating those referrals to the appropriate service for timely action.
- Have 5 GCSE’s grade A-C including Maths and English or equivalent.
- Be able to plans and manage their own workload on a daily basis.
- Have confidence using IT systems and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Have a great attitude to work
