We are a dynamic and innovative GP Practice based in a small village called Burscough, within West Lancashire. Working alongside two other practices within the local Health Centre, we deliver a wide range of healthcare services to the local population and we have an exceptional opportunity for a confident and enthusiastic apprentice to join our friendly team.

Working towards the Business Administration Level 3 you will work within an experienced team gaining skills and knowledge in all aspects of GP Practice Administration. Once this training is complete you will have the option to then undertake the Level 2 AMSPAR Medical Terminology qualification.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Dealing with patient enquiries both by telephone, face to face or online
- Booking appointments and updating and maintaining patient records
- Inputting patient information and maintaining records on company intranet IT database
- General filing into medical records
- Liaising with various external health related agencies

**Skills and Qualities**
- Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality is essential at all times
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word & Excel
- This is a customer facing role and the practice operate a strict dress code and therefore a professional appearance is required

Good level of numeracy and literacy is desired

**Working Hours**: 37.5 including off site learning

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Apprenticeship

**Salary**: From £9.50 per hour
