Activities Coordinator in Nursing Home

We’re seeking an energetic, confident Activities Coordinator to join our care home team and ensure residents continue enjoying the activities that matter most to them.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify residents’ needs by reviewing life stories and care plans
- Develop, plan, and deliver engaging activities for individuals and groups
- Organise outings, events, and in-house programmes
- Record participation, feedback, and activity details in care documentation
- Encourage relatives and visitors to take part in activities and outings
- Balance large-group, small-group, and one-to-one sessions
- Source services from external organisations (e.g., schools, galleries, spiritual groups)
- Support marketing and fundraising initiatives around activities
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, visitors, and colleagues
What We’re Looking For
- A warm, outgoing personality with enthusiasm and patience
- Strong communication skills and exceptional relationship-building ability
- Creativity and an artistic flair for designing stimulating programmes
- Confidence leading groups and motivating participation
- A genuine passion for elderly care and person-centred support
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in care home settings (assisted living, nursing, care)
- Proven track record organising daily activities and larger events for diverse needs
- Ability to develop and implement individualised activity and care plans
- Enhanced DBS check and excellent references
Pay: £12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 42.5 per week
