Production Planner

Princes Bradford are recruiting for a Production Planner to join their team at Bradford. This is an excellent opportunity following recent growth of the site due to securing a 5 year + plan to produce Capri Sun. Bradford is one of our largest drinks sites in the UK specialising in the production of soft/carbonated drinks. **Job Purpose**:
To maximise customer service levels whilst maintaining target stock levels,
through efficient production scheduling, joining the Bradford planning team - focussing on the new Capri sun business.

**Working Hours**:
This is a Monday - Friday 08.00 until 16.00 position based at the Bradford Manufacturing site.

30+ Finished Product SKU’s for Capri sun (300+ skus for main site)
£90m of combined Raw Materials.

Supports the overall planning team for the Bradford site - specialising in the Capri sun area

**Principle Accountabilities**:

- Be supportive, act with integrity, show enthusiasm and embrace openness
- Have an understanding of the Princes Operating System (POS) and maturity matrix, and site must win battle plans
- Understand and implement lean manufacturing work practices including 5s, to drive continuous improvement activity at site
- Produce and maintain production plans to meet forecast and actual sales demand for Bradford Capri sun area, achieving budgeted PPC.
- Define and maintain stock holding parameters to provide economic production and purchasing profiles, whilst meeting centrally agreed stock targets.
- Manipulate production schedules to ensure efficient usage of people, plant and materials.
- Own and drive the day to day process of averting potential shortages
- Plan and control activities of external contract for multi-packaging.
- Schedule material orders to support production plans, liaising with suppliers balancing stock and lead times.
- Provide absence cover and support for wider planning team, as needed, thus requiring multi-skills in all aspects of packaging and ingredients supply along with Planning principles.
- Seek efficiency improvements in methods of planning and scheduling through effective utilisation of SAP & APO functionality, controlling all MRP planning relevant planning material master.
- Generate and issue forecast information to key suppliers.

**Experience Required**:

- The position requires fundamental understanding and experience of the major aspects of integrated planning software: Production Planning, Materials Requirements Planning, Sales & Operations Planning, Capacity Planning, Master Production Scheduling
- Ability to develop & maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the business with effective communications to ensure accurate & timely information is known & available to key factory personnel & Group Head Office.
- Advanced knowledge of planning and supply chain in an FMCG environment
- Ability to communicate across levels with colleagues and management at all levels.
- Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage own workload to meet agreed deadlines.
