RSR are recruiting for a IT Support Officer to work on a 12 month, full-time contract with the Information Commissioner's Office based in Wilmslow.

Purpose of the post:
To assist in the day to day operation of the IT Department providing technical support and advice to ICO’s users, drawing on your own experience and ICO internal and/or third parties to deliver actions in a
timely manner.
Maintain documentation.
To monitor all IT support calls, whether to the IT Service Provider service desks or ICO’s IT Department, escalating as appropriate where issues are identified.
Ensure all severity 3 incidents (i.e. individual user) and service requests are handled promptly, and resolved in accordance with procedures and SLAs. Provide effective communications on issues/progress to the wider business where necessary.
- Main Responsibilities:

- Support the IT Department on a day to day basis.
- Support the effective progression and management of IT tasks through to completion.
- Attend meetings as required, recording any actions arising and contributing as required on progress and issues.
- Monitor and report on IT activity as directed to assist the department in meeting SLAs and agreed deadlines.
- Carry out routine operational tasks, ensuring a high standard of service, all security requirements are identified and procedures are followed.
- Provide out of office hours support as required.
- Manage all records produced as a result of the delivery of IT Services, including service review meetings. Produce monthly statistics for publication on the Intranet

Person Specification:

- IT related qualification or suitable experience
- Experience of a public facing or IT customer delivery role
- Knowledge and experience of a wide range of IT products
Including all aspects of Microsoft Windows 10 and 11.
