Lead Buyer

Working as the myenergi Lead Buyer, you will hold responsibility for the material planning and procurement of the high value, high risk componentry, ensuring seamless supply maintaining inventory levels within company targets. You will have full procurement NPI (New Product Introduction) responsibility, ensuring BOM management and tracking of unreleased new products, prototype material availability and sourcing of the appropriate components and onboarding of new suppliers.
**Responsibilities**:
Working as part of a cross functional NPI project team to deliver target BOM costs
Drive and deliver cost reduction initiatives with current and new supply base
Monitor, mitigate and report PPV
Focussing on supplier development with existing supply base as well as engaging new potential suppliers
Creation of documented sourcing strategies
Conducting regular supplier meeting both on site and the suppliers site
Attending regular internal meetings across all levels of the business
Ensuring optimum availability of material to maintain production readiness as per the production plan
Taking a leading role in the creation and achievement of department KPI’s (PPV, Supplier optimisation, Cost reduction, Inventory days on hand, SOTDP, Supplier Contract management)
**Qualifications and Experience**:
2+ years in a similar role, and looking for the next challenge in their career
Experience in a manufacturing environment highly desirable
Electronics Buying experience desirable but not essential
MCIP’s preferable
ERP knowledge and experience of an ERP integration highly desirable
