Here at GXO, we’re looking for a **Transport Team Leader** to join us at our Greene King Food Service site in Greenford. This is just not any ordinary Team Leader, this position focuses on developing you As part of your development, you will be expected to complete a GXO Management development programme (Level 2/3 Apprenticeship funded by GXO) and give you the experience to become our next Transport Shift Manager and much more

You will be working any 5 days from 7, on a rotating shift pattern of AM (04:00-12:00) and PM (12:00-20:00).

**Pay, benefits and more**:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to **£28,000.00** per annum. In addition, we offer 33 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. **What you’ll do on a typical day**:

- Manage, coach and develop your team of Drivers to ensure optimum performance and efficiency
- Ensure the effective Kick-Out, Transport Admin and De-briefing of all Drivers
- Support the team to meet operational objectives such as service provision, productivity, and compliance KPIs
- Be the focal point for all Drivers and Customer Service-related queries and to resolve all issues
- Deliver and support ongoing continuous improvement projects

**What you need to succeed at GXO**:

- Previous experience working in a fast-paced transport team, preferably with exposure to temperature-controlled deliveries, transport compliance and Working Time Directive (Desirable)
- The ability to effectively communicate in both a written and verbal capacity whilst building relationships with customers. Computer literate to include Outlook, Word and Excel
- Due to the shift times, you will need to be able to drive or get to site as local transport is restrictive at these times
