New role, additional support required for busy finance team. Assisting financial statements and reporting to meet management and statutory requirements.
**The position holder must be a fully qualified accountant.**

Key areas of responsibility:

- Assisting with the preparation of monthly accounting statements with specific responsibility for certain areas of the balance sheet such as fixed assets, payroll, intercompany & taxation
- Reporting of monthly figures, including statistical analysis, to US parent company
- Preparation of UK statutory accounts
- Preparation of quarterly VAT return and monthly VAT accounting
- Submission of statutory returns and management of Companies House filings
- Coordination of internal and external audits, both to Group and local materiality
- Takes an overview of end-to-end financial accounting processes and drives continuous improvement in these from a process, data, system and people perspective.
- Coaches, mentors and develops both direct reports and more junior members of the Finance team.

In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for:

- Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures
- Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behaviour in completing job duties and assignments.

**Part Qualified accountant**:ACA/CA, ACCA
**Experience**: Min 3 years experience in a finance department or accountancy practice.
**Education**: Graduate or high level of achievement at A level or equivalent.

**Specialised Knowledge and Skills**: Willingness to study the business and group, including management, reporting & review processes

**Good working knowledge of Excel, Powerpoint and an ability to analyze large data sets/large volumes of transactions. **Experience of SAP or Oracle financial software would be advantageous.
