**Production Supervisor**

As a **Production Supervisor** for GCL Food Ingredients based in Newthorpe, you’ll be joining an industry leader and performing various duties within our ever-growing production facility.

**Newthorpe, Nottinghamshire, NG16 3PX**

**Full Time, Permanent, Site Based**

**Starting Salary £28,000 per annum**

**The role**:
The Production Supervisor will become a part of the Production Team (Plant Based), responsible for overseeing the production, company systems and processes, including troubleshooting any potential issues.

**Main Duties will involve but not limited to**:

- Support People development, training, discipline, grievance, absence management
and performance management
- Implementation of SOPs and associated best practice for quality, hygiene and
safety.
- Set and manage KPI’s across a balanced agenda
- Be proactive in site technical adherence to standards, auditing and managing to
these standards.
- Maintain and influence consistent H&S standards across site.

- Undertake root cause analysis and problem solving of quality issues with the team.
- Define and drive GMP standards to targeted levels and champion supporting
initiatives.
- Support optimum plan and resource utilisation
- Ensure action and escalation takes place for any production incidents.
- Be present for site audits and manage external relationships.
- Contribute to business continuity plans and crisis management policies.
- Ensure site readiness for compliance and audit requirements (ISO, HSE, BRC, GMP)
- Attend H&S committee, Quality and Production meetings.
- Champion of root cause analysis and problem solving of quality, production issues.
- To drive people accountabilities for resolution
- Maintain records for compliance training.
- Flexible to cover / deputise for other management roles, within incumbent’s
capability.
- Champion the planning process integration to drive an effective stock
management system.
- Ensure Best practice adherence from a stock holding, rotation and financial
perspective.
- To undertake any other reasonable duties as request by Management.

**Skills/Knowledge**:

- Food industry experience essential with understanding of High Care operations (2 years)
- Good knowledge and understanding of technical environment regulations, policies, procedures and legislation.
- Demonstrable leadership acumen
- Experience in managing departments and teams.
- The ability to lead and develop teams.
- The ability to work under pressure and to stringent deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
- High level of attention to detail
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint etc

**Qualifications**:

- Educated to good GCSE level
- IOSHH (preferred)
- Food Safety Level 3 (preferred)

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

- Nottingham: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Food Industry: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- IOSHH (preferred)
- Food Safety Level 3 (preferred)
