We are looking for someone to #JoinUs as an Investigative Trainer in our Investigative Training Unit, Learning and Development.

Could you be who we are looking for?

About the team/Department you will be joining:

- We are a large team based in Ty Morgannwg (HQ) Bridgend, but, there will be the requirement on occasion for the successful applicant to work at other locations throughout the force.
- There is an ability to work flexibly when not delivering courses in Ty Morgannwg (HQ), or, in other areas of the force.
- Our courses are delivered between the hours of 9am and 5pm, Monday-Friday.

About the role and your key responsibilities:

- To plan and deliver innovative training, complete associated administration and develop all South Wales Police officers, staff and external bodies as necessary.
- To stay updated with the latest investigative techniques and legal requirements to ensure training content is current and relevant.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.

What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:

- The applicant must be / have been PIP 2 accredited and be an experienced Investigator.
- The applicant must be the holder of a police trainer’s certificate (or be prepared to attend a course to successfully obtain one) or hold a Certificate in Education in post 16 Education or
- Knowledge and experience of Advanced Witness and Suspect Interviewing is desirable.
