This role is to provide a provision of support and advice to staff of all levels of the organisation and Sussex’s Integrated Care System (ICS), in all aspects of Information Governance, including but not limited to: Project support, Health Records Keeping, archiving, asset management, requests for information and incidents.

Information Governance Support and advice for SCFT and ICS projects, including coordination of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Information Sharing Agreements.

Providing support to staff of all levels with information governance advice and resolutions including IG Project support, Health Records keeping, Subject Access Requests, Freedom of Information requests and Archiving.

Act as an Information Governance Subject Matter Expert on Trust wide and specific ICS wide projects. Supporting the completion of Data Protection Impact Assessments, risk analysis & mitigation, and contract reviews.

Coordinating information asset management programme of work to identify key assets, data flows and risks to personal identifiable information. Working with services and Information Asset Owners (General Managers) and Information Asset Administrators (Clinical Service Managers / Team Leads / Admin) to achieve outcomes and improve compliance.

Managing the development and delivery of Information Governance, Health Record Keeping and other IG relevant training and awareness for the Trust. Promoting training and confidently delivering in complex work environments.

Prioritise own workload and time in a manner that maintains and promotes high quality governance, including the management and coordination of requests for information (Freedom of Information Act and Subject Access Request).

Jobs are available in a wide variety of services, both adult and children’s, at locations across East and West Sussex.

The post holder will be required to work and communicate closely with the Deputy Head, and Head, of Information Governance, Information Governance Facilitators, Access to Records Coordinators, external stakeholders and operational staff, forming good working relationships.

The post holder will be required to discuss, communicate and establish agreement on a wide range of complex Information Governance issues including ensuring legal requirements are met. Complex issues are required to be communicated in easy to understand language.

The post holder will be required to challenge staff of all levels by influencing or persuading them to comply with legal requirements or Trust policies. Confidently able to escalate concerns or shortfalls to appropriate management, when necessary.

The post holder will support and encourage operational staff with their IG responsibilities and spot potential IG champions within the service areas.

The post holder will deliver presentations, workshops or training sessions to large groups on all aspects of Information Governance.

**Additional responsibilities will include**:
Manage the Information Asset Management program of work within the Trust to enable compliance with statutory, mandatory and good information governance practice.

Support the completion of the Data Security and Protection Toolkit.

Management of Information Governance incidents by supporting staff across the Trust with all IG incidents, including completing Root Cause Analysis for serious incidents.

Manage the delivery of Information Governance training across the Trust and where applicable, develop and implement training sessions and awareness materials in respect to Information Governance.
