Claims Handler

We are looking for a number of experienced Claims Handlers to join our Third Party Property Damage department. This is an ideal role for those with prior experience in liability investigations and negotiations who have an insurance or legal background.
You can be based locally to our offices (Bexhill or Leicester) with the expectation that you'll come in one day a week and the rest will be based from home.
For those with extensive experience we're able to offer permanent homeworking opportunities.
**What will you be doing?**
- Communicating via phone (inbound/outbound) and written correspondence with the policyholder - keeping them updated at all times
- Realistic inputting and updating of claims reserves
- Handling scheme claims within agreed terms and notifying scheme insurer where required
- Making payments in respect of repair accounts, hire accounts, settlement figures, solicitors costs, agents fees etc.
- Investigating and making decisions on liability (admitting, disputing or negotiating split settlements)
- Identifying and referring suspected fraudulent claims to the Specialist Claims Unit
**What are we looking for?**
- 2+ years motor claims experience preferable
- Prior experience in liability investigations and negotiations
- Strong attention to detail
- Good level of computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
**What are the benefits?**
Starting salary of between £24,000 - £26,000 dependant on experience
